The annual book fair will return in December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the organizer, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council announced. The 31st Hong Kong Book Fair, alongside the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo will be held from December 16 to 22 for seven days. It was originally scheduled for July 15 to 21, last month, but it was postponed amid the third wave of coronavirus infections. An HKTDC spokesman said a review will be done on November 16 on the situation and risks at the time to decide if the fair should proceed. "Hong Kong government's Second Round Anti-epidemic Fund will still be applicable to the rescheduled book fair, to fully subsidize local exhibitors' participation fees, subject to a cap of HK$100,000 per exhibitor," the spokesman added.
