The register of MPs’ financial interests shows that he received £51,277 (€58,349) from Pendulum Events and Training last month. The company was behind a motivational conference held in Dublin Convention Centre, where Mr Johnson gave a speech. Bookings for 2020 have diamond tickets priced at €2,750. The MP revealed at the event that he initially viewed the backstop proposal for the Irish border as “a convenient fiction”.
