Not only does he have options across the pitch, but he has an abundance of players who can play multiple positions. However, there was a number of players playing out of their recognised positions with roles changing throughout the match. It's an ideal scenario for Barton but it no doubt also provides a selection headache, a great issue to have. The former was his usual creative self, picking up his second assist of the campaign for Gibbons' goal whilst the latter still does so much good work for the team outside of goal scoring. Plenty feel as though having U21 Premier League clubs ruins the competition and they're entitled to that opinion.
