Lands Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Kimani Ngunjri broke his silence after he drew and fired his pistol in an escalated confrontation over land. Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, CAS Ngunjiri admitted to opening fire but explained it was in self defence. "I explained that I had leased the land for five years since 2018 and even presented the lease agreement," the CAS stated. At the time of publishing this article, the CAS was at the police station recording a statement on the incident. Initial reports when the video surfaced, it was alleged that the man with the axe attacked the Ngunjiri for allegedly physically assaulting his sister.
