The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Shilpy Pattar Dutt, sub-divisional magistrate (east), Chandigarh, her husband Dhiraj and a middleman GS Brar in graft case. The trio were arrested on Sunday morning after a local team of CBI raided the SDM’s house on Saturday night and allegedly caught Shilpy red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000. As per the CBI, Dhiraj had hidden the graft money (Rs 50,000) in his garments when the sleuths came in. The CBI also recovered Rs 25,000 from the middleman Brar. After negotiations, the deal was struck at Rs 2 lakh, of which Rs 50,000 was to be paid on Saturday.
