The victim, Raju, was waiting for the bus at Goraguntepalya to go to Tumakuru, his home town. Around 11 p.m., a cab driver approached him and offered to drop him. After driving for a while, the cab driver stopped and demanded cash at knife point. The cab driver then left him on the road and sped away.
