Calisen owns about 4.7 million smart meters through two businesses, Calvin Capital and Lowri Beck Yui Mok/PACalisen, an energy metering company, is seeking to raise £300 million through a London flotation, targeting a valuation in excess of £1.3 billion. The group is owned by KKR, the private equity firm, and owns about a third of the smart gas and electricity meters that have been installed in Britain. Calisen procures, installs and manages meters on behalf of energy suppliers, recouping the upfront costs through long-term rental agreements. It owns about 4.7 million smart meters and 3.5 million traditional meters through two businesses, Calvin Capital and Lowri Beck. The company reported revenues of £162.1 million for 2018 and £148 million for the first nine months of last year.
