With the 13th national election approaching, candidates have launched election campaigns in all eight parliamentary constituencies of Tangail. They include BNP candidate Fakir Mahbub Anam, Jamaat candidate Mohammad Abdullah Hel Kafi, Jatiya Party candidate Mohammad Ilias Hossain, and independent candidates Mohammad Ali and Asadul Islam. Jamaat candidate Hossaini Mobarak has withdrawn his candidacy in support of NCP candidate Saifullah Haider. Tangail-7 (Mirzapur)Two of three candidates are campaigning: BNP candidate Abul Kalam Azad Siddiqui and Jamaat candidate Mohammad Abdullah Ibn Abul Hossain. They include BNP candidate Ahmed Azam Khan, Jamaat candidate Shafiqul Islam Khan, Bangladesh Biplobi Workers Party candidate Awal Mahmud, and independent candidate Salauddin Alamgir.
