The scene has since been taped off with officers remaining at the scene after paramedics attended to check on the driver. North Yorkshire police said in a statement: "This minor single-vehicle collision was reported by Yorkshire ambulance service at 9.17am who treated a man who had taken ill at the wheel before crashing into the Brewdog pub. Brewdog York has closed and it is currently unknown when they will be able to reopen, Yorkshire Live reports. They added that York City Policing team, fire and ambulance service were also working together on the incident on Micklegate.
