The first knockout stage draw of the 2023-24 Champions League has been completed and the Premier League 's final two representatives - Arsenal and holders Manchester City - have both been given favourable matches in the round of 16. The two other English teams in the group stages, Manchester United and Newcastle , both finished fourth and were eliminated. City are the stand-out favourites to win the Champions League again having beaten Inter Milan in Istanbul earlier this year to lift their first European Cup. Arsenal meanwhile returned to this tournament for the first time since 2016-17 and secured four wins and a draw from their six games against PSV, Sevilla and Lens.
