At least 15 people, including a child, have been injured in a stampede at a memorial prayer gathering in Narsingdi Sadar Upazila. Madhabdi Police chief Md Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter, noting that the crush took place as crowds surged into the venue. Residents said the event was organised as a post-funeral prayer gathering for Lal Mia Molla, father of industrialist Abdul Momen Molla, a former president of the Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce. The programme was held at the field of Hazi Lal Mia Molla High School in Bhagirathpur. Farida Gulshan Ara Kabir, a resident medical officer at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said four of the injured were admitted to the facility.
