Christmas bonus for the plugged inMarion van Dijk/Stuff Power consumers are in store for a discount on their December electricity bill. Nelson Tasman residents can expect a Christmas bonus from their electricity company with a discount on their next power bill. For the second time this year, a discount will be credited to consumer's power accounts, made possible by consumer-owned local electricity distributor Network Tasman. Network Tasman CEO Oliver Kearney said people who plugged in would receive an average of $57 off their December power bill, totalling $3.6 million to its consumers. "Switching retailers does not alter this entitlement because the discount comes from Network Tasman and not the retailer."
