Reports suggesting that Aliou Cissé is set to leave his role as head coach of Libya national football team have been firmly denied by the coach himself. Rumors circulated earlier this week claiming the Senegalese tactician was on the verge of departing the Libyan national team to take up the managerial position with Equatorial Guinea national football team. However, when contacted by our newsroom, Cissé dismissed the claims and confirmed that he remains fully focused on his current position with Libya. The former Senegal national football team coach stated clearly that he is still in charge and currently preparing the Libyan side for upcoming international friendlies. Libya are scheduled to face Liberia national football team and Niger national football team in two friendly matches set to be played in Morocco as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.
