The new education minister said the move is aimed at preventing any kind of question paper leak during the exams. Last year, the government in a similar move had shut down all coaching centres three days before the SSC exams amid widespread allegations of question paper leaks. The practical exam for Music is slated for February 26, while the other practical exams are scheduled to be held between February 27 and March 12. Those who try to spread rumours over question paper leak were now under surveillance and the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) had been asked to take necessary steps in this regard, said the education minister. A total of 2,573,851 students are supposed to sit for the SSC exams at 4,964 centres this year.
