The law of the land says that the identity of the complainant should be kept confidential. He (Governor Bose) should be charged for this too. If an investigation, if any, were to proceed unhindered, it would be necessary to shift Shri Bose from West Bengal so as to allow it to be conducted in an impartial manner. It appears highly inappropriate for the Raj Bhavan to present the CCTV footage to the press, considering that the office of the Governor has a Constitutional status and the Governor is expected to discharge his responsibilities with dignity and decorum. I appeal to you to intervene urgently before any further erosion of the credibility of the office of the Governor takes place.
