Complaint filed against Twitter India, MD Manish Maheshwari for 'spreading communal hatred'


Twitter which is already under pressure to comply with new IT rules has got into fresh trouble after a complaint was filed with Delhi Police's cyber cell against the microblogging site for 'spreading communal hatred' in the country. A complaint has been filed by advocate Aditya Singh Deshwal and addressed to DCP Cyber Cell of the Delhi Police sought registration of an FIR against Twitter Communications India Prviate Ltd, Manish Maheshwari, MD, Twitter India, Shagufta Kamran, Public Policy manager of Twitter India as well as Armin Navabi and Susanna Macintrye, the founder and CEO respectively of Republic Atheist, news agency ANI reported. "Twitter which is a microblogging website/platform in connivance with Armin Navab and Atheist Republic has been showing this blasphemous content from July 2011.
