Ugunja Member of Parliament James Opiyo Wandayi wants the President to confirm or deny receiving resignation letters from four embattled IEBC commissioners. In the letter, it is alleged that the commissioners requested that they be paid their dues and the compensation for their remaining term in office. The ODM Director of Political Affairs spoke after it emerged that four of the electoral body's commissioners had secretly written resignation letters to the president opting to voluntarily retire from public service. "Uhuru's silence on the letters could be interpreted that he wants the current IEBC to remain in office despite a glaring evidence incriminating them," Wandayi said. The president is however yet to respond to the allegations.
