more-inKOCHI: The Competition Commission of India has found the Container Trailer Owners’ Coordination Committee (CTOCC) and its four associate organisations to be indulging in anti-competitive activity and warned them to desist from such activity. Those associated with the CTOCC are: the Cochin Container Carrier Owners’ Welfare Association (CCCOWA), Vallarpadam Trailer Owners’ Association (VTOA), Kerala Container Carrier Owners’ Association (KCCOA), and the Island Container Carrier Owners’ Association (ICCOA). They are acting in “contravention of the provisions of the Competition Act, 2002. InvestigationFollowing an investigation, the Director General of the Commission found that the CTOCC, along with its associates, had resorted to price fixing. Accordingly, the CTOCC, the associations and their office-bearers have been directed to desist from indulging in such anti-competitive conduct.
