Cops tie rakhi to students

The Jaipur police on Saturday celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying rakhis to students of different educational institutions across the city as part of the police commissionerate’s community outreach programme. City police commissioner Sanjay Agarwal along with other top city police officials visited the Seth Anandi Lal Poddar School for the deaf and mute and tied rakhis to the students. Speaking on the occasion, Agarwal promised students that the Jaipur police will always be there for their safety. “Much like the bond between a brother and a sister, the Jaipur police too protect women in the city. Officials said personnel from police stations under the Jaipur commissionerate, will also tie rakhis to students in educational institutions in their neighbourhood to promote better police-public relations.
