File photoDHAKA, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today ordered the attachment of the house and lands owned by former Member of Parliament (MP) Momtaz Begum and her associates. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The ACC plea said that an investigation team has been formed to probe allegations of money laundering against Momtaz Begum and other individuals and institutions linked to her interests. As the investigation against Momtaz Begum is ongoing, the application said it is imperative to freeze bank accounts and movable assets and to attach the immovable properties.
