PUTRAJAYA: Parents and guardians as well as kindergarten and daycare centre operators must take measures to minimise the risk of Covid-19 infections among children, says Datuk Seri Rina Harun. The Women, Family and Community Development Minister said the number of cases involving children was worrying and must be given attention. She said as of May 18, it was reported that 64,046 children had been infected with Covid-19 compared to 8,368 children infected throughout last year. “With better awareness and understanding, they will be able to take proactive measures to minimise the risk of infection among children. Rina said she visited the Covid-19 Integrated Quarantine and Treatment Centre at MAEPS Serdang on Friday to see the work of frontliners including Welfare Department personnel.
