Cricket legend Damien Martyn has declared he is back after a meningitis scare that left him in a coma and 'took his life out of his hands'. The 54-year-old was put into an induced coma on December 27 and was fighting for his life in a Gold Coast intensive care unit until he woke eight days later. Martyn revealed he had been unable to walk or talk after coming out of the coma, but spoke and moved just four days later 'with the doctors in disbelief'. 'After being given a 50/50 chance of surviving, I came out of the induced coma 8 days later…not able to walk or talk. 'A BIG thank you to ALL my family, friends and so many other people who have reached out to me,' Martyn said.
