Lorne Ahrens, 48, was one of five police officers killed by a sniper on Thursday at the downtown Dallas protest, the deadliest incident for police since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. That's how Katrina Ahrens, the wife of Officer Lorne Ahrens, will remember her husband, who she said aided a civilian during the shooting Thursday night, after having been shot himself. Katrina Ahrens is a detective on the Dallas police force, where she met Lorne during his training.
