As suggested by Stuff on Sunday, David Higgins departed Auckland on Monday evening with high hopes he could finally seal the lengthy negotiations for what will be one of the biggest fights of 2018. Higgins said he was looking forward to meeting Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn face-to-face again "to fine-tune the details and put the finishing touches on this deal". Everything is positive, so I am going to London with confidence that we will wrap this up and have a big fight."
