(CNN) We are sure David Schwimmer meant well when he talked about diversity and "Friends," but it went left. In an interview with The Guardian , the actor talked about being "very aware of my privilege as a heterosexual white male." He also discussed his hit NBC series, "Friends," existing in a "pre-woke" time -- before there was as much attention to inclusive storytelling as there is now. "Maybe there should be an all-black 'Friends' or an all-Asian 'Friends,'" said Schwimmer, who played Ross for 10 seasons. "But I was well aware of the lack of diversity and I campaigned for years to have Ross date women of colour.
