A DECISION is due soon on a planning application for the retention of a pizza takeaway outlet at Rathnew House. Killian Doyle applied for the retention of a converted steel container pizza takeaway food outlet and associated works. The unit is a converted shipping container similar to existing converted units which have entered into the public realm, particularly since Covid-19 restrictions on catering were introduced during the lockdown. The unit is positioned in the outdoor seating area next to the car park and within the existing fenced beer garden and only serves pizza products. A planning decision from Wicklow County Council is due by Thursday, September 2.
