However, the stance has created difficulties for Pheu Thai, whose proposed ministerial line-up has yet to be finalised. The list was reportedly returned by the Bhumjaithai Party due to concerns over Mr Prasert and Mr Somsak. According to reports within Pheu Thai, the party subsequently dropped Mr Somsak from the list while retaining Mr Prasert. Mr Prasert is also being examined by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) over the management of water resource budgets. Mr Stithorn said limiting Mr Prasert’s role could help prevent Pheu Thai from expanding further in the province.
