Across the GTA, the gap between rich and poor is widening while middle-income areas are disappearing, a United Way analysis of census data shows. According to the 2016 census, the average individual income before taxes in the GTA in 2015 was $50,719. Pleasant Rd., with an average individual income of $419,676.
