Right to its dying throes, the northern group of Division One swung back and forth between Omagh and Armagh city, the drama of last night’s final games paying due tribute to a series of matches that bristled with life over the last three weeks. It seemed for most of last night that the cocktail of results would send Armagh and Donegal to the Division One semi-finals until Tyrone reached out to sneak a draw against Monaghan, demoting Armagh to a relegation play-off while Donegal held on for the semi-finals. The satisfaction for Donegal in scratching out a draw from an unsatisfactory performance and securing their place in Division One when normal service hopefully resumes in 2022 will overtake everything for now, but they will know
