Years ago, I was introduced to Bob and Laurie Anderson, (fictional) owners of BLA Temps, an agency that provided temporary workers to call centers. Without the business, the Andersons would have time to enjoy the lifestyle they desired, but not the money to support it. Finally, the less evident problem (at least to Bob and Laurie) was that without their involvement, BLA Temps was worth little. Fires will never stop popping up, and the alligators that prevent you from draining the swamp won’t ever go away. The only way to move toward the exit you want is to change what you and Laurie are doing.
