A driver was shot and killed by Long Beach police after a high-speed pursuit came to an end Tuesday morning in Bellflower, authorities said. The driver zoomed across the 710, 105 and 605 freeways as a squad of patrol cruisers followed. As the driver tried to turn out of the street, several patrol cruisers surrounded the vehicle. As officers tugged at the driver, the vehicle moved forward and came to a rest next to a palm tree. 8:10 a.m.: This article was updated with the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirming the driver was shot and killed.
