Dublin Racing Festival doubt with Saturday morning inspection at Leopardstown and contingency plan put in place

Horse Racing Ireland have released their contingency plans if Leopardstown fails an inspection this morning ahead of the first day of the Dublin Racing Festival. Following an inspection earlier on Friday, the Leopardstown course was considered fit for racing. If the course is deemed unfit for racing after Saturday morning’s inspection, a contingency plan will be put in place, with Saturday’s meeting moved to Bank Holiday Monday. In my opinion, this line is currently fit to race despite the 22mm of rain last night. A post from the track on X said: “There will be a precautionary inspection tomorrow morning at 7.30am ahead of Virgin Bet Scilly Isles Saturday.
