The draft, which was issued on Wednesday, reached the student fronts on Monday with a letter signed by Dhaka University Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani. A total of 39 sub-sections are included under 14 sections in the draft electoral code of conduct. Student fronts have been requested to submit recommendations for or opinion on the electoral code to the proctor’s office by Saturday, the DU proctor confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune. Since then, no electoral code of conduct has been introduced regarding the promotion of candidates and campaign for votes during the elections.
