E4 paid a heartbreaking tribute to Mel Schilling on Tuesday night after she died aged 54 following a brave battle with colon cancer. The Married At First Sight star told the channel it was her 'wish to continue airing the programme' after her death. Mel was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2023, and received treatment including chemotherapy in the UK whilst she filmed a series of MAFS UK. 'I also want to thank our wonderful MAFS family — John, Alessandra, Charlene, Roxy, and Sophie — for your kindness and compassion. 'It’s with great sadness and heavy heart that today I lost my dear friend and fellow MAFS expert Mel Schilling.
