Edmonton Oilers beat back New York Rangers 3-2 in OT

The Rangers level in OT is subterranean. Kassian’s stick was over the goalie’s head and it appeared he was hit by Ranger teammate Kevin Shattenkirk’s blade. He claimed not to be licking his chops at the sight of Oilers after the morning skate, but every player has HIS team, right? After McDavid was clipped in the face by Smith’s stick, the Oilers’ captain whipped a 20-footer past the Rangers’ goalie (one of his five shots on the night). They got majors (Khaira’s eighth in the NHL and Lemieux’s sixth) but it could have been two for roughing.
