Egypt’s Labor Ministry allocates LE 3.6 million to families of 18 workers involved in traffic accident

The Egyptian Labor Ministry announced on Friday that it will disburse LE 200,000 to the family of each of the 18 workers killed in a traffic accident while traveling to work at fish farms in south Port Said. Labor Minster Hassan Radad personally contacted the families of the victims by phone, offering his deepest condolences and sympathies. The total compensation amounts to LE3.6 million and will be disbursed from the Accident Response Fund within the Ministry’s Central Account for Informal Workers. This comes as part of the Ministry of Labor’s social role and its commitment to providing urgent support and alleviating the burdens on affected families. He emphasized the continued provision of all forms of care and social support to the families of the deceased and their children, reflecting the state’s concern for its citizens.
