Egypt U-23 head coach Shawky Gharib has named a star-studded squad to face South Africa U-23 in two friendlies ahead of the Olympic games. Egypt are also heading to Tokyo 2020 as representatives of Africa after winning the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations which they hosted last year. Ahly stars Salah Mohsen and Taher Mohamed who both scored in their quarter-final victory over Mamelodi Sundowns last month have made the cut along with Galatasaray star Mostafa Mohamed. Captain Ramadan Sobhi who made a record R90-million move to Pyramids from Huddersfield is also amongst the key players included.
