Egypt denounces Israeli court's decision to allow Jewish worshipers to pray at Aqsa Mosque

CAIRO – 7 October 2021: Egypt’s Foreign Ministry condemned on Thursday Israeli court's decision which grants Jewish worshipers the right to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque in the old city of East Jerusalem. Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called, on Wednesday his Palestinian counterpart, president Mahmoud Abbas as they discussed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause and peacemaking process. Palestinian President Abbas hailed depth and privacy of Egyptian-Palestinian relations. The Palestinian leader appreciated painstaking efforts exerted by Egypt to back the Palestinian cause. Egypt is maintaining its historic role to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, Abbas said.
