CAIRO - 8 March 2020: Egypt's Foreign Ministry is closely following up a probe launched by Saudi authorities on the murder of an Egyptian national. Egyptian national Ashri Mohamed Hassan, from Minya Governorate, was shot dead in Riyadh. Egypt's Consul General Riyadh Ehab Abdel Hamid has paid a visit to the Saudi Forensic Medical Authority, where he met its chief to speed up procedures to bring the victim's body home. The diplomat also visited Hassan's nephew, Hussien Samy Mohamed Hassan, who was also injured in the incident. Hassan's body would be brought home once the necessary legal procedures are completed, the ministry said.
