She said her family decided to take a tour of the newly-finished ring road when she read the sign aloud in the vehicle. Construction is finally overConstruction of the last leg of the Anthony Henday began in 2012, but the first section of the ring road was built in the early 1970s. The northeast section opened to the public Saturday, and several dignitaries were on-hand to celebrate the conclusion of Alberta's first fully-completed ring road.
