Elvin keen for more women riders in speedwayLindsay Withington Seventeen-year-old speedway rider Georgia Elvin took on the men at the Burt Munro Challenge. Speedway rider Georgia Elvin would like to see more women on the track enjoying the thrills of the sport. Elvin said when competing at different tracks, she noticed women spectators showing serious interest in the bikes and racing. Elvin rode small dirt bikes on her parent's farmlet before taking a shine to speedway as a 10-year-old. After learning on a motorbike borrowed from the Moore Park Speedway, Elvin was given one of her own for her 12th birthday.
