Privacy concerns are given as the reason for the secrecy, as well as the belief that workplaces, such as factories, are generally closed to the public so virus outbreaks are deemed a low risk to the general population. We have only to look south of the border for evidence that indifference or outward hostility to public health guidance only benefits the virus. As all of Ontario is finally authorized to enter Stage 3 of reopening the economy, and as children return to school in just over three weeks, there’s no doubt Ontario will see more COVID-19 outbreaks in places of work.
