England were inserted in to bat and they were immediately in trouble when Jonny Bairstow was dismissed in the first over by Imad Wasim. Pakistan kept things tight in the powerplay and although Banton hit another four off Mohammad Amir, England managed only 34/1 in the first six overs. When the spinners came on, Banton decided to open up and England’s run-rate achieved a steady spike in the middle overs. However, the fun ended for the right hand batsman as he was caught at midoff in attempting to slog sweep Shadab again. With his dismissal, England lost wickets at regular intervals with Morgan being trapped LBW by Iftikhar while Shadab accounted for Moeen Ali.
