THE Penang Food Aid community programme will be launched Monday to channel food aid boxes worth RM50 each to needy families. Supported by Women of the Future programme, it is organised by Penang Food Aid team with Caremongering Penang, a non-governmental organisation. It aims to help ease the burden of the urban poor and single mothers who have lost their jobs. “We identified a list of recipients with the team from Caremongering Penang and we will focus on helping the urban poor, especially single mothers who lost their jobs but have multiple mouths to feed.
