Ethiopia secured $13.1 billion in investment agreements at the conclusion of the “Invest in Ethiopia 2026” Forum in Addis Ababa, according to the Ministry of Finance in a statement on Friday. The two-day forum, held March 26–27, 2026, produced signed deals across manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, energy, and construction, the Ministry said. The outcome represents one of the most significant investment achievements for Ethiopia in recent years, according to the Ethiopian News Agency, a state-owned outlet. The Ethiopian Investment Commission organized the forum alongside the Ministry of Finance and international development partners. Commissioner Dr. Zeleke Temesgen stated ahead of the event that Ethiopia currently ranks second in Africa in foreign direct investment inflows.
