(Photo: Phuket airport)PHUKET - An Etihad Airways bound for Phuket from Abu Dhabi encountered an air pocket over Phuket and landed safely at Phuket International Airport at about noon on Wednesday. The management of Phuket airport said Etihad reported the turbulence on flight EY416 with 160 passengers at 11am and airport staff prepared emergency response measures and a dedicated parking bay for the incoming flight. When the Airbus A321 landed at 11.50am, a response team came on board to provide first aid and found no injured passengers or crew. Local media reports quoted airport director Monchai Tanode as saying that no passengers required hospital treatment.
