Photo: NiDCOMThe Federal Government on Tuesday evacuated 117 Nigerians from Libya, including 48 persons released from detention centres in the North African country. A statement issued by the Nigerian Mission in Tripoli through its Chargé D’affaires, Amb. Kabiru Musa, said the evacuees left Tripoli at 1.00pm and were expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 6.00pm. “The Nigerian Mission in Tripoli will continue to work with the Libyan Authorities to ensure none of our citizens is unjustly detained and will ensure their voluntary repatriation.”
