FG repatriates 159 irregular migrants from Libya


Old photo of Nigerians repatriated from LibyaThe Federal Government, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), successfully repatriated another 159 irregular Nigerian migrants from Libya on Tuesday. Musa said the 159 evacuees left Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport at 2:30 p.m. and are expected to arrive at Lagos‘ Murtala Mohammed International Airport at 6:40 p.m. Nigerian time. He said that the ongoing evacuation will not end until all Nigerians stranded in Libya, who wish to voluntarily return to their homes, are brought to Nigeria safely. “Once again we have successfully evacuated another batch of 159 stranded Nigerians from Libya. “With the collaboration of IOM and the Libyan authorities, we evacuated 159 stranded Nigerians, including 65 men, 61 women, 19 children and 14 babies.
