In Indonesia, the Moroccan Atlas Cubs overcame on Tuesday the Iranians after scoring last gasp equalizer. Following a 1-1 draw, the match headed to a penalty shootout which the Moroccans won 4-1 to advance the last eight. The Moroccan youngsters opened their FIFA World Cup tournament with 2-0 victory over Panama. They lost their 2nd match against Ecuador 2-1 before beating host country, Indonesia, 3-1 to progress to the knockout stages. In Dar Essalam, Morocco, the 2022 World Cup semi-finalist, defeated on Tuesday Tanzania 2-0.
