Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Expatriate, Badr Abdelatty, received a phone call from the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas. The discussion focused on ways to reduce military escalation in the region, developments regarding the Palestinian issue, and broader regional developments amid the serious military escalation currently affecting the area. Kallas expressed her deep appreciation for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s efforts to calm tensions and reduce escalation in the region, as well as Egypt’s ongoing mediation initiatives. Both sides agreed on the necessity of continued coordination and consultation within the framework of the close relations and strategic partnership between Egypt and the EU, and on combining efforts to reduce regional escalation. They emphasized that the diplomatic path is the way to prevent the region from sliding into further instability.
